Babycakes - Wendy designed
custom uniforms for NYC-based bakery, Babycakes. The new uniforms debuted in July 2007 at the Babycakes NYC shop and will also appear on the staff of their new Los Angeles bakery.
Doug Aitken - Wendy worked with artist Doug Aitken in January 2007 to design a custom tote bag for his "Sleepwalkers" film installation at the Museum of Modern Art. The limited run totes were available at the MOMA store and 303 Gallery.
Amy Sedaris - Created characters inspired by the Built by Wendy Fall 2005 collection for a just-for-fun photo shoot. Check it out!
Marcel Dzama - Created specific imagery to go along with the Built by Wendy Fall 2005 collection. The result was a limited run of printed tops, tees and button down shirts with his signature style.
UCB Theater - In the Fall of 2006 Wendy designed a special t-shirt for the 10th anniversary of ASSSSCAT, the Upright Citizens Brigade cornerstone improv show.
Will Oldham - Wendy created custom handmade tour shirts for his Spring 2002 tour in addition to playing a live show at the Built by Wendy NYC store in 2005.
New York Underground Film Festival - Wendy designed and created awards for the NYUFF in 2004 and 2005. Each award was hand made by Wendy and customized for each winner.
Untitled Show - Artists and designer decorated skateboards curated by acclaimed graphic artist Cey Adams. The show opens April 12th, 2007 at Eye Jammie Fine Arts Gallery in Chelsea.
Candle Book and Bell troupe - This witty and hip NYC musical theater group's Winter 2007 production "Squirrel and Porcupine" was partially outfitted by Wendy. For Alec Coiro's latest play he called upon Wendy to help with creating costumes for the furry creatures in his production - (faux) fur minidresses, johdpurs, tails and ears!
Marc Swanson - Wendy and friend/artist Marc Swanson worked together to create backdrop and runway sets for a couple of her fashion shows.
"Catholic" Artist Exhibition and Book - In 2003 friends and editors/curators Glynnis McDaris and Jesse Pearson asked Wendy to participate in an artist collaboration for their Catholic exhibition at Guild & Greyshkul Gallery in New York. Wendy's cat-print shirt was included in the show and book.
John Kerry Presidential Campaign - Wendy created custom John Kerry guitar straps for a benefit concert in July of 2004. Concert performers included Foo Fighters, Tenacious D, Liz Phair and was held at the Hollywood Theater in Los Angeles.
826NYC Superhero Fashion Show - Wendy created and outfitted her very own superhero for this non profit organization's fundraiser.
Blind Spot - Wendy designed custom tote bags Blind Spot’s 15th Anniversary benefit auction at David Zwirner Gallery in Chelsea.
